To say I’m proud would be an understatement. It’s been an incredibly challenging last few weeks at work. Special thanks to my awesome wife @sfincher for allowing me to work all hours of the day, homeschooling the kids & being amazing. @medspaceuk The last few weeks at Medspace have been somewhat chaotic. From initial fears that we may have to close the factory down and furlough the staff to having the busiest period since forming. These pictures do not do it justice, the amount of effort being put in and work being done is astronomical. Since April 1st we have processed over 689 sheets of MFC, over 50 sheets of solid surface and countless kilometres of edging. This is on top of over 5000 drip stands, 30 resuscitation carts, 120 chart trolleys, around 60 controlled drugs cabinets, 175 medicine trolleys and close to 300 bays of clinical racking. We have sent out 960 bedside lockers so far with a further 536 still to manufacture to fulfil current orders! We have been a part of all of the Nightingale Hospitals in varying ways as well supplying too many trusts to count directly which makes us all very proud to do what we do. The factory has been running 7 days a week, 11 hours a day and each and every one of our staff members and subcontractors have stepped up, we could not be prouder of everyone involved giving up weekends and bank holidays to get the work done, none of it is possible with out them. Our neighbours allowing us to store material and finished units in their premises and lorries to park on their forecourts whilst bedside lockers are loaded also deserve a mention as again it wouldn’t be possible without them being flexible. Our supply chain have been incredible and have turned lorries around to go back for stuff we have missed off of orders, we’ve had suppliers working from home and sourcing materials for us from all around Europe to help out as well as putting on extra shifts themselves to meet deadlines. We’ve still got a long way to go but we just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved that has been part of the process so far. It really means a lot. Above all, stay at home and stay safe to help out the NHS thefincher 18th April 2020Instagram [gap size=”20px”] 21 likes
